I've been trying to murder this with Avast! Home 4.8 and am about to retry Malwarebytes.
It seems that it's gotten smarter - showing hidden files and folders still does not show Recycler, and even then the folder appears empty. You need to know the EXACT file paths before you can get rid of and of its files.

Does anyone know what the Command Prompt command would be to remove all of the files? I have FileAssassin as well, so if anyone knows what the exact filepaths would be that would also be helpful.

Also, what processes does this thing run and how would they appear in Task Manager?

The easiest way of removing the Autorun virus, on a pc or from a flash,
Download a unlocker program, example Tizer unlocker.

On windows show all hiden files, in you folder options.

Search for the autorun file, it will look grayed out, then right click on the autorun file, and move you mouse to Tizer, there are three options, choose the delete option

Thats it, it shoud be gone.

I got a new worm/virus in my pen drive called Nikolic, recycler, new folder. All are in the form of folders. I cant delete them.
Other folders in pen drive, if deleted reappears. I can delete the files.
Also in my laptop system restore or task manager, when opened appears just 2 seconds and disappears. I guess this problem is due to the same worms/viruses.

Pls help me guys. I cant even take backup. My OS is XP.

Thanks in advance.

I appreciate all of the input here. As a result, I've used a number of suggestions and I think I have hurt the virus but I have not killed it. I have been able to delete some of the virus files both in the normal mode and in the protected mode. But, this virus is insidious...and it inserts itself into a number of different registry files. Hence, often when you try to delete it, you get an "Access Denied" error because the file is in use some where else. I have found it throughout my registry in folders like "Protected Storage" and "root" and have been unable to delete it using regedit or CCCleaner.

Further, this virus is new to my computer and I have been using Spyware Doctor with Antivirus for over three years. It did NOT prevent the infection and it cannot remove it. Spyware Doctor tech support has not responded to my appeal for help in over four days. Yet. there's a link here that proclaims it has a tool to remove this infection.

When you go to the website to download the "tool," the tool is Spyware Doctor (I assume a trial version). Don't bite on this one because it doesn't work. Oh yeah, Spyware Doctor can identify the virus but it can't do anything about it unless they've worked out something they're using to get new customers but are not providing to old customers.

Is there really a tool out there that can kill this virus????
