This is the very basic step by step procedure, and there are many more advanced ones. Of course this is the foundation for all search engines. Different search engines will carry over other steps [best example being chacha which adds human support feature] as features. Well you have added a lot to the discussion. Thank you :)</description>

Even for search there are additional steps introduced of late. For example, while parsing the query in parallel to getting search results, it also queries Google Apps for relevant searches. For example, type in &quot;25 x 13 =&quot; or &quot;10 US dollars in Indian rupees&quot; in Google search and enter. Relevant Google apps will be running along with indexed search results.

Another stage is when actually ad serving happens.
